hey there art girl, how are things? how did the holidays treat you? any new, unposted art pieces?
:iconpixiemagic88:
Hi! Things are going ok, just started school back up. I had a good holiday. I got a puppy! How was yours? have a lot I havent put on here yet. I tried working with metals last semester and fell in love with it. My dad actually bought me a torch for x-mas.

my holiday was fair. i don't get too excited by the whole x-mas thing. i like to keep things low stress.
what kind of puppy did you get? is it at your folks house our at your college dwelling? these new works that you've yet to post here, what mediums are they done in? so, when you say metals, are you talking jewelry type stuff, or are did you get introduced to cutting torches and big metal?? back when i was in a junior college class, the instructor felt that i was far more advanced than the junior college level. so, he took me out to NIU to study with the master level students he taught. he took me to an off site metal studio, very inspiring place just from all of the tools and found objects. it's humbling to know that i may have had some influence on your artistic skills and your approach to art... and now your at a fine art school. i'm damn proud to say that you were a student of mine! well done& be well.
keep on creating!!!!
oh, i got my first tattoo on my right upper arm last wednesday. it's one i designed of a turtle shell with oak leaf clusters hanging from the bottom. it took about three hours to complete. i like it so much that i am currently drawing the plastron side of the turtle with other various leaf clusters. it will go on the left upper arm.
